As part of our firm's commitment to educate and assist the community, our attorneys have participated in numerous speaking engagements.

Since 1993, our law firm has provided the public with monthly seminars with a variety of topics. Armond D. Budish, Michael L. Solomon, Laurie G. Steiner and Jennifer E. Peck have all taken part in presenting the seminars. The topics include: How to Protect your Home and Savings under the New Federal Medicaid Law, Avoiding Costly Tax Traps of IRAs, 401(k)s and 403(b)s and Estate Planning for Widows, Widowers, Unmarried Couples and Singles. For the convenience of our attendees, we usually offer these seminars in Beachwood, Independence, Westlake, Middleburg Heights and other suburban locations.

Jennifer E. Peck, Esq.

This past fall, Jennifer Peck presented informational seminars to other professionals about Guardianships at an Ohio State Bar Association Seminar.  She also spoke to various civic groups on Estate and Medicaid planning.

In the winter, Jennifer Peck will be presenting informational seminars to the Ohio CPA group on Elder Law. 

In the past, Jennifer has presented information seminars to the Cleveland Heights Office on Aging "Terrace Talks" through Legend Financial Group. Her topics included Understanding Long Term Care - Medicaid and Medicare, and Powers of Attorney, Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care.

Jennifer Peck and Laurie Steiner also have also been involved with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) and presented a seminar on When to use Trusts for them as well.

This past winter, Laurie Steiner presented an informational seminar to the AARP focusing on Medicaid.  She also was the speaker at a national Web-based Seminar on Medicaid planning for NBI.

This past summer, Laurie Steiner presented information seminars to various realtors groups, the Cleveland Marshall College of Law Alumni Association, AARP, MEDS and Anna Marie of Aurora. The topics included Reverse Mortgages, Children with Disabilities, Avoiding Probate, an Update on Medicaid, and Estate Planning.  She also presented at a national webinar on Medicaid Planning for Financial Advisors. 

She was previously the co-chair of a seminar for the CMBA on Elder Law.

This winter she will again present at a seminar on the Web on the Four Core Estate Planning Documents for Financial Planners.

This next summer Laurie Steiner will present more information seminars to realtors, Anna Maria of Aurora and the Puritas Lutheran Church. The topics will include Disablity and Medicaid, Reverse Mortgages, Medicare and Elder Law.

Michael L. Solomon, Esq.

In the winter, Michael Solomon gave a speech for the National Business Institute (NBI) on Essential Asset Protection Techniques and Strategies.  He has also presented many times to the Cleveland CPA's on various Business and Tax topics.  In December of 2009, he presented a seminar on the Bloodline/Stretch IRA as a planning tool to the Certified Financial Analysts.

In the winter, Armond Budish present seminars for the Women and Investments Group and a variety of other locations. He discussed information in his new book, Why Wills Won't Work. He also presented a seminar for the Jewish Community Center discussing Government Relations.  He is also very busy in his position as the Speaker of the House in Ohio!
